I’m a wildlife photographer based in Hamburg, Germany and travel to Africa and India every year. Two words: magical places.

It is very simple – once I came into contact with the landscapes, the people and the diverse wildlife of Africa, I decided to become a professional photographer.

My favorite subjects: African and Indian wildlife. I have been going to Africa for more than twenty-five years. The allure of the African savannah is irresistible so I return several times every year. Africa is positively addictive.

I founded In AFRICA – In INDIA Safaris 18 years ago. We create and offer nature photographers and nature lovers exclusive photo safaris and workshops. I also personally create custom travel packages for my clients.

Philosophy.

I travel to selected areas during various seasons repeatedly. This lets me know the environments in all their facets which ultimately results in the best photography. I am not a “destination hopper” and am not interested in going everywhere on this planet. My focus is completely on Africa and India. In addition, knowing about the species I want to photograph is immensely important. If you do not know much about the species, it’s very difficult to be in the right place at the right time for the right shot.
